Being an Australian
used books dealership, we have designed this page with the object on mind of
making it easier for Aussie readers to find what they are looking for.
On the left there are over 20 catalogues, each containing books that are in some way
related to Australia. Authors of the novels, non-fictional works, poems,
essays, etc., are either Australians, born here or
naturalised,
or the subject of their work is Australia, the people, the land, the history,
the culture, the Aboriginal culture and art, the nature, the wildlife,
and so on.
Because we call
Queensland, and specifically Brisbane, our home, we have a special
catalogue of books that are either related to Queensland, or have been written
by authors living in this state. As yet it is not as big as we would wish it to
be, currently around 50 titles, as we find it difficult keeping up with the
demand.
There is a catalogue of books
on the Australian art. It is not big at the moment, but we hope to expand it in the
near future. We have always had a special
interest in the Australian art, one of our proprietors being an active
artist, having exhibited his landscape and abstract paintings at various venues
in the past. You can view some of his works in our online art gallery, which
also includes some virtual art and a selection of art classics.
Australian Aboriginal
culture and its tradition is what many people in this country and in the
rest of the world want to know about. Currently we have close to a hundred
titles in this catalogue of used books and, again, we are hoping to find more
that we can bring to you.
We have not forgotten our friends who live across the Tasman and who often buy books from us. The
sixth catalogue of New
Zealand related out of print books currently contains more than 50 titles.
Another catalogue, still
rather small but expected to grow, focuses on the Pacific region.
